    Moki,
Unlike the other guys with the 10' bimini I am not a fan. When I did a demo of the RZ2 it had the Xplosion tower with a 10' bimini. It was hard to get up and takes 2 people (I am sure with some practice one could do it). I didn't like the fact it couldn't be stored in the up position. The position of it would be in the way of the walk through on the rear hatch. It has great cover, but like was said above it doesn't allow you to use swivle racks. In my case I wanted and ordered swivel racks. Adlee Covers will do my bimini for my boat as well but I am looking at doing something like Jim. I want a bimini that will work with the swivel racks but I might look to get an extention for us in the afternoon in the AZ sun. We board all morning but in the afternoon the water is crap so we hang on the boat. It really depend upon YOUR needs. I want swivel board racks and some shade. Other will sacrifce the swivel board racks for more shade.

      Coach --

Let us know what Adlee puts together for you. I need the 10 footer, but would like to have some more flexibility as well. Thanks.

        Coach,
I am looking for something like Jim's as well. I am still going to get the explosion tower, but want to see if Adlee will be able to provide the extension. Thanks for your input!

No problem. My guess is I am going to just get the 5-6' bimini and give it a try for this next season and see if we want or need more shade. If we do and extention it will be like Jim's.

I swear I saw an 8' bimini (went almost all the way to the back seats) on a 24Ve at Lake Mead a month ago that was one of the strapless desgins that looked like it would work. I doubt it would allow 6' of clearance but it had a ton of shade. Anyone else think that might be a viable alternative for your storage concerns?

Adlee's custom builds the Bimini's. So when you bring the boat for your new tower we can take it over to them for you. By the way when will we see the boat?

I was planning on calling you tomorrow. I will have it down there on Nov 13th, does that work for you? I am looking forward to my new Xplosion tower!

                    I got mine from Adlee.
The deferent’s is that the two do not touch.
The back sits about 1 inch higher then the tower bimini. The advantage to this is that you can get the full with the whole length of the back bimini. Also there are no wrinkles in it due to the two different sizes being zipped together.
The back bimini also overlaps the front by about 6 inches.
                    (Sorry photo’s not the great)

One more benefit, is that you can use either one with out the other.

Jane at Adlee came up with this design for me.
I love it and it works well.

                        Whitlock

Thats pretty cool. Do both bimini's strap to the tower for storage when not in use like mine.

                        Moki

One important thing I forgot to mention. Straps were only put on one of the bimini coveres to hold it to the tower. They are long enough to go around both bimini's. I woud have them put straps on both covers as we never put the strapped cover on the same bimini. There have been times the straps were on the back bimini cover when I did not want to take that bimini. I carry extra straps so not a problem but just irritates me.
                        Let it be!!!

                          Whitlock / Jim,

Thanks for the valuable information only gathered by experience. I am going to have Adlee do my bimini for me. Whitlock, I am glad to see that they have already done something along these lines.

The back Bimini can either lie down across the back deck, or strap to the tower.
When it is lying down, it is about 2 inches from the fiberglass on the transom.
The straps that Adlee’s give you are not connected to the covers. They give you two straps with each bimini. It only talks one to hold them both in place.

                            Moki
When I first got my back bimini, it cam with a canvas cover the same color as the bimini.
My back deck has some white in the corners. The red would leave a slight discoloration on the white. (It would clean off with no problem) Adlee gave me a vinyl cover in white to replace the red.
If you have a light color on the rear decks, I would go with the vinyl cover instead.

(We leave our back bimini laying down when towing, just driving the boat around. We only tie it to the tower when boarding.)

Also if you’re in Utah, isn’t Adlee a little far?

                              David,
I am in Utah, but I am bringing my boat down to get an Xplosion tower put on. I do have lighter color vinyl on the back. Can you still board with both biminis extended?

Yes, we do it all the time. (Wife hates the sun at lake Mojave)
Just make sure to put your rope on before you open up the back bimini.

Also if your mirror is mounted high, (tower mount) then it will make it a hard to see the rider if the taps is set above 4.

I got on of those suction cup mirrors and placed it low on the windshield for this reason.

I am not familiar with the Xplosion tower, who makes it?
Adlee will need your boat for a day or so, as all their bimini are custom fit.
If you go with Adlee, will not regret it, in my opinion.

Also while you are in town, you might what to stop by Tige Water Sports.
(It is only a few blocks from Adlee)

We have had ours for two years now and love it.
