Are you looking for surf, ski, or board?

What have you tried? Did the selling dealer or private seller not demonstrate how to do this when you did your water test at purchase?

Please don't say you never water tested a $50K+ used boat???

20-40% front, 100% rear on the side you are surfing, taps on 4, 10.8mph, AVX on 3 to 5. That would be my starting point. I would add some ballast to the opposite side that you are surfing, 10% at a time and no more than 50% total.
        Oh Yeah!

How deep is your lake compared to the demo lake? Did you get a run down of the setup used during the demo, so you could replicate it?

Here is what we have done. Things continue to evolve but we like the wave better and it is more clean using the nauticcurl device.
1- 100% front and back surf side, taps 5, AVX 7-9, and adjust people weight to achieve 5-6% list to the surf side. This yields a nice wave but smallish with a less clean wave face
2- 100% front and back surf side with 50% front and back off side, Taps 4-5, AVX 6-9, and move almost all of your people weight to surf side to get the boat to list to 5-6. This yields a nicely sized wave for the smaller boat you and I have.

Both of the above options are good based upon the boat/hull design, but both are made better using a suck gate wake shaper on the opposite side. We really like our nautic curl.

These would be great places to start. I have your exact boat, and am incidentally installing a custom rear ballast upgrade from chpthrll(mikes liquid audio) this weekend to see if we can maintain a larger wave when just me, my wife, and two boys are surfing. More weight=more wave we are hoping

Get larger bags in the back from chpthrll, for sure. Also, unfortunately the more weight in the front the better and longer the wave. I like to put at least a body up front, or a couple hundred lbs of lead wih full front ballast. Be extra carefull with lots of weight in the front however, the bow can dip pretty low in certain circumstances.

This boat will definitely provide a very satisfying wave, do doubt about that! Make sure you are deeper than 15' and going 10.5 - 11.5 mph

The lake is 30 feet in average, unfortunately I deleted all settings boat had, thought about that later when having problems with the wake

10.8 seems to be an ideal speed for most of our surfers. Lighter riders can ride up to 11.2 which lengthens the wave nicely. With AVX and a suck gate type of shaper you can surf a nice wave at anything deeper the 10 ft. Skilled, Lighter riders can still surf nicely as shallow as 8 ft or so with our set up described above. Anything shallower than that and the wave is un-rideable

Jason(elevatedconcepts) is usually pretty good on setup.

In my experience if you have the wave shaped up then your angles are dialed. If no push then you need more hull in the water. If you are maxed on ballast it's time for either bigger bags, lead, or throw over pump and bag. Trying to add weight to all the same places so you are keeping with your same angles.

I missed it earlier, are you running it listed or with shaper??

I tried with only avx, then used mission wake shaper with same luck, then tried with ronix blade Much better shape, size seemed ok but again zero push. I tried many ballast setups, went with avx from 1-9 and taps from 1-8 just couldn’t make it. I guess having done only wakeboard in the past got me clueless with surf

Find someone in your area that surfs on a regular basis. See how they do on the wave. Could be a board/technique problem.

                              Have you surfed much before?
