    Axis A22

So, I purchased a tige Rz2 around 6 weeks ago. Grew up on the lake, but had never surfed. I’m in the middle of Axis/Malibu country and was pressured in every way possible to go that direction. The Malibu guy said, you’ll want a Malibu. None of your friends will want to go out with you on the tige. Tonight my son and I rode behind an Axis for the first time. He was trying to be polite, but yelled, “can you make it bigger and longer.” The guy driving the boat seemed shocked. Going out together on mine tomorrow. Just an informative post that I’m more than happy to be the odd man out.

Talk about a guy thats truly missed the boat, pun intended. Nothing wrong with brand loyalty and owners goggles steering our purchases, but to think it influences our relationships with other boaters, is stupid.

I reserve judgment until I’ve ridden behind it. I wasn’t overly impressed by my buddies A22 but it does put out a pretty solid, pushy wave. I prefer the wave behind my 22VE and not just because it’s my boat. I just like the shape better. I guess it just depends what your used to. I really wanna get behind one of the new Centurions.

The axis puts out a nice wave. The only down side is it’s an axis lol. No the part I don’t like is the wave is super soft with no defined lip, which means a super decent wave for skim but that’s about it.

New centurion wave, now you’re talking super soft yet not too soft and WIDE face but further back you also have nice lip to boost off of.

Just don’t look too closely at the details in the Centurion. The fit and finish on the Fi I looked at last week dropped my jaw! Not in a good way....at least for a 100k+ machine.....

I hated how far back the tower and bimini was. Like I had to duck everytime I got in the boat or the bimini would take my head off. I also saw that there was lots of room to move the tower forward, but they wouldn't do it.

              Dakota4ce,

Could not agree with you more! Also went and looked at the Centurion Fi and came away with the exact same impression. LED lights were actually peeling off, a windshield bracket was missing making the entire windshield move, and other noticeable issues. I was actually shocked! Brought my wife along to show her this new 100K plus boat and it had nothing special. The ONLY thing I liked about it was the downfiring speaker system...

My wife said the helm looked homemade—which I though was hilarious and accurate. Like a kit car dash.

Yeah Tige, Malibu and Nautique are definitely winning the interior game at the moment that’s forsure.regarding the tower it’s only a problem on the fi boats the 237 I never noticed it being too far back.

Skiers Choice (Supra) is also excellent. Interiors are beautiful.

New Makai looks excellent as well for that level of boat.
