I have been fighting progressive limp mode over the last year or so. I have replaced the pot, done the ecm rewire and still having issues. I also replaced batteries recently to no avail. Typically the limp mode manifested itself with the usual beeping. Turning off key and restarting usually takes care of that for a little while. Lately when I throttle up it manifests itself without a beep but throttle up to about 1500 rpms and then drops. If I feather it enough I can get it to kick in and off we go. Very frustrating because it nearly always happens when pulling someone out of the hole. Some have been able to hold on to the rope being dragged while I feather the throttle until it grabs. Here is another interesting symptom - if I adjust the taps plate while underway, throttle cuts out.
In addition to all this, if the perfect pass circuit is on (not necessarily engaged), the issue with taps dropping the throttle does not happen. I am at wits end with this and out of ideas. I have checked voltage at pot half a dozen times to make sure it’s still in range. Everything tells me I have a voltage issue and points back to pot, but with these other issues I am baffled.
