    Start of my weekend

So here’s how my 3 day weekend started Thursday night

Not a bad start to the weekend, till we loaded the boat back up. Note the blue paint not green, friends boat.

No big deal right. Limped it back to my house as it was the closest. Figured 30 minutes this morning once I picked up so new bearings. Ya right

He killed the spindle. Called local trailer supple that has a ton of axles. Said they had 5 on the shelf. Thinking alright! Went ahead took the old axle with me. You guessed it they didn’t match. Drop height was off by the thickness of the old spring perch (square axle vs new round one). Custom ordered axle would be about 3 weeks. But got lucky cut the spring perch off and welded it up to the new axle. She’s ready to go again!

Hopefully the rest of the weekend will be as nice as the water was Thursday night.

      Wow, quite the adventure.
It's always good to have a reminder that our trailer condition and maintenance is as equally important as our boats.

Hopefully the hard part is over. Have fun out there.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Brutal! This is why I clean and repack my bearings at the end of every season. A little extra maintenance at home is much better then fixing problems on the road! Glad ya got it sorted!

FYI, those ubolts look short, and the nuts will come loose after the first trip while everything settles. At least you're back on the water.

Yep I told him to watch them this weekend, but got it going for now. He was just happy I spent my day off fixing it

My view is looking good this morning though, the weekends going to be a good one!
