Our 10 month old pup River is on the water more than she is off it. Train them to not jump off the boat until told and put lots of towels down. The hair is another issue but it’s nothing a vacuum and a little time can’t fix. So worth the trouble to have them with you.
I've got a million boat photos of Coral, our Curly Coated Retriever (RIP as of 2015), but find me another dog who actually helps Mom build the boat dock! DSCF5881.jpg
OK, one more untraditional water dog photo. You can almost read her mind: "Hey, where are you going? I have the stick back here on the dock! All the fun is back here!" IMG_5418.jpg
After reading this post, I decided to take the dog out on the boat after 1 year saying never again. I trimmed his nails and was willing to give another try.
I got some great pictures but never again. He tried drinking the lake dry, had to take a leak like 5 times in 3 hours...yup even on the the upholstery and floor. I was not happy, made me on edge the whole time and the dog wanted to bark at everything and go rescue my son while knee boarding.
Oh well, he is staying HOME. Dog.jpg
