    2019 LINEUP KEY NOTES

I know their is already a post talking about this with people who seem disappointed in some semantic changes for 2019. Rather then talk about it in snippets I thought I would write a little something up to clear up the confusion.

In 2019 the Tige lineup currently is as follows...

    ZX5
    ZX1
    RZX3
    RZX2
    R23
    R22
    R20
    R21

This list does not include the following...

    Z3
    Z1
    RZ2
    RZR

For those that do not know, the following hulls were identical aside from interior/exterior trim upgrades, and the above mentioned "badging".

    Z3-R23
    Z1-R21
    RZ2-R22
    RZR-R20

-For 2019, the R-Series line that was previously only offered in "entry luxury" trim models will now have full range customization.

-The base R-Series which has been the staple of the line will remain as the starting point with some upgrades that did not come with a price increase.

-The R series base will also be available to fully customize.... Below are examples of items that can be mix and matched..

-Interior upgrade from base R series to premium (previously only in Z and Rz series)
    -Tower upgrade M2 to E2
-Tige base screen to Tige clear
    -Stereo
    -Dual fills

    etc.

I hope this clears some of the questions and confusion up. This change within Tige is merely a simplification of the Line which now gives the consumer the ability to build something not possible before without losing anything from the past. Consumers now truly have the ability to mix and match options to build the perfect boat.

So I saw your confusion in the other post and I was a little confused as well. It seemed like there were claims of big jumps in price points in the "budget" R line.

So out of curiosity....If a person were to custom order an R23 with base interior, M2 tower, 7" screen, no added gel scheme upgrades, and left out all the other frills to keep cost down how much more would it be compared to that same R23 last year(percentag rather than concrete numbers)?? Seems like everything is going up at least 5-6% year over year in the tow boat market, if not more.
Would this apples to apples comparison be on track with that percentage or not?? Some numbers were getting thrown around earlier that had me confused.
Obviously if you option 4 Revs10s, 10", heater etc into a custom order R23 it's going to be a lot higher than that base R23 example, just makes sense.

Their is a 2700 dollar change to the MSRP from 2018-2019 in a base R23. That increase is more liner/Yearly increase then anything.... Not to mention you would get a one piece observer seat, liner and the new trick glovebox standard....

Again, I dont get the confusion..... its a major WIN.

      *Edit* 2500 dollar change

Thanks for getting the mud out of the water for me. Only other 19 question I've had is I've seen other mention subfloor in R series around here. True or no?? Would seem like a benefit, but also would see still needing PNPs so not really getting that much storage back.

For 19, that increase got you a liner in the boat which means storage, all will have pnp bags plumbed and bags included, the new glovebox seen in the 18 Rz and Z line and the one piece observer seat.

Im baffled that some are pissed, I must be missing something..... The line DIDN'T see the standard industry increase and it got a ton of new standard features without being force fed others.

the liner IMO gives you a more manageable storage scenario. With the PNP rears that are smaller, you can move them etc, get rid of them easily and for me stick lots and lots of lead easier in a bigger area. I think its going to take some new time figuring the weight on them but I think not having big legged bags going down the lockers is rad. More storage? no. More storage that you can use without moving stuff around, A TON.

              Relax dude nobody is pissed.

I still think it's a great product and I'm sure people will happily still purchase them. My biggest point was and just like it's mentioned here, since Tige is "aligning" themselves with other manufactures in pricing it means in a few years when I look to upgrade I will be taking just as hard of a look at the other boats. When the R series first came out they weren't in line with manufactures at least in my opinion and that's what made them awesome. I felt the R series offered way more boat than any other manufacture could at the price point that the R series started at. Again, maybe the number I had in my head for the R23 wasn't in line with reality because I wasn't looking real close at them yet however I can personally attest that the MSRP on my 2017 R21 was ~$65k which no other manufacture could touch in terms of boat for dollar.....Now it's apparently just shy of $85k for 2019.

I’m stoked and perfectly relaxed, trust me. Wasn’t referencing you specifically although you seemed to have displeasure regarding the 19s and the pricing. My point is that nothing has changed so i don’t get the issues people have. You can’t get a z3 badge. That’s all that has changed....

Sounds like you got a sweetheart deal but for the sake of what we are talking about lets compare MSRP numbers.

MSRP, pricing in 2017 WITHOUT trailer was 74,048. The MSRP on a 2019 R21 WITH trailer is 84,281K. The price jump is way below the industry standard. That 65K number you are using was MAP in 2017.

Great post and great point of reference for those who are a little confused or have been out of the new boat market a few years.

So...explain "liner". I've heard that thrown around for various boats and really don't know what it means and why I want it.

Liner allows for subfloor/hidden ballast. Flexibility for storage, PNP and/or "lead" would go on top of liner.

Hmmm...so the research I did basically said that liners were a way "to speed up construction" but were inherently weaker. Lots of boats use them of course, but to me at least, it seems like a liner would not be something I want. Explain again how I have to have a liner if I want subfloor ballast?

Again, I don't know anything about liners except what I am reading and certainly don't know how Tige, Nautique etc do them or if they are even the same kind of "liner" I have been reading about.

So..if anyone has any first hand knowledge of what makes a liner boat different than a non-liner boat that would be great.

From where I sit right now, liners look like a slick way to ease construction of the boat (in other words increase profit margins) at the expense of the quality of the product. If I'm wrong in this, please educate me otherwise.

Bakes, Im with you(in the dark) on the liner. Will be getting some new boats in soon but from what Ive been seeing after doing some Googling once the deck gets mated with the hull there wont be much to see.

Stoked on a great year for Tige Boats! My local dealer has had a stellar 2018, and I cant wait to see what 2019 does for them!
