He should at least hook me up with some commissions! I honestly just feel they are an absolute must have for tow boat. Especially if you have kids. Not like it matters to anyone but, I definitely look down my nose at people with kids and no FAE. If somebody wants to huff exhaust fumes all day, it’s no skin off my balls but, making the children do it too is just BS.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Kids aren't riding QUITE yet but will be very shortly. This sounds like a dumb question but everyone has talked about how the FAE makes the boat super quiet. I'm not gonna lie, I like the rumble of these big V8's in the boat...does the FAE take all that out or does the boat still sound good, just the fumes are pumped farther back?

That black pole was the ski pylon you got with the boat if you didn't get a factory tower. was designed to get the rope up a bit for boarders. the Tight steering is your steering cable- it needs to be replaced. Guaranteed this is the issue. the cable is only $ 150 bucks of so and it's a DIY job- BUT it's a pain in the butt. Get your gas tank empty because the cable runs UNDER the tank. When you replace it, run it over the tank. You'll need wrench with 1-1/4" spread to get the cable off.

Totally should! You’re a better salesman than our dealer!!

And you’re right, I actually thought about the kid thing after I wrote that. I worked on my caddy last night for probably an hour with it running inside, a door was open so slightly better, so I probably don’t even notice. And don’t have kids so I don’t think about it, but kids do ride, a lot on ours, so I guess I have another winter project!! I’ll tell them to send you your commission!

Or instead of moving the tank you get a grinder with a thin cut and you lop the big ol nut off the end of the cable. Pulls out from under tank without having to move. Just another way to skin that cat.

The fumes actually roll up into the boat really bad at surfing speeds. Station wagon effect. It’s not just the rider by any means.

Yes, the sound is greatly reduced. It’s not completely eliminated. You can still hear it. You can hear everything else much better. You can drive along and actually talk to other people in the boat. The reduction in fumes far outweighs the sound of a V8. We all love the sound of a V8 but, these are just tow boats. To me, it’s much like a Harley. Not that slow should be that loud.

I can second this. My 08 Z1 was really throaty and engine sound was loud but nice and mean sounding. The FAE was the best investment I could make to enhance my stereo. On my boat sound was dramatically reduced but you can still hear it purr! Best part is no fumes. We are to the point now in our Tige group of friends (which is up to about 6 or 7 boats) that it is the first thing we notice if someone doesn't have one. Brutal gas fumes at surf speeds. FAE = zero fumes. Pricey but well worth the money IMO.

At Grumby... the puck is gps for perfect Pass. I got Enzo bags for rear and underseat bow bag. Steering is only tight during heavy ballast, so I think it might be normal. I wish I could pull tall pilon in back and make it removable

Thought it was. I guess you got your PP. Wave looks good. I got to try to do something about my steering. Its like yours. sweet with no weight. dump truck when fat. My ruder has play front to back when on the trailer. I don't think that is right. Winter is coming.

I’ve shelved the rudder project until winter. You nailed it... sweet without load, but tough when lots of ballast. Please let me know if you solve it.
