I am more impressed you had any cell phone service at Temple Bar! It’s spotty at best for us when we are out there... not always a bad thing though!

Last year my AAA with Plus RV changed my trailer tire with boat on it outside of Havasu heading down to CattailCove. Hopefully they have not changed the policy. Bad trip as I had no tools on the boat or in the truck.
      Let it be!!!

I have RV Plus also and they refused to do it stating its a safety issue. The Tow Truck that came out had AAA on it, standard tow truck, standard floor jack and there was no safety issue as suggested by the telephone rep at AAA. I also have Good Sam roadside assistance and that is who I called after denied by AAA.
Give your AAA a call and see about their boat trailer tire changing policy. It may be AAA Arizona membership policy not to change the tire.

Maybe the policy changed since last year or maybe it was a just that one tow truck driver thing?

I wouldn't say it's any more dangerous than working on a truck with a similar weight as the boat/trailer combo. Now if they knew the difference between a leaf sprung axle and a torsion axle and refused to lift a torsion sprung frame I could understand that. I think there is a real chance of bending a trailer frame if one puts a jack in the wrong spot. Probably best to use two jacks.

Mine was AAA Ca using out of state. No jacks involved as drove onto blocks with non flat tire on tandem trailer. Will call to check. Might need to add to my boat us policy

                Team Allen
It was not the driver. It was the rep that answers the phone when you call in for AAA service that refused to send out help.
There is no problem with Good Sam roadside since I called them and they came out with a tow truck having a AAA logo on it. I also called Boat US with vessel assist and they will also come out. Please also be Aware that AAA has now formed regions. Since I am now in Arizona, the region includes No. California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska. I do not know if each state has its own rules in this region or if the rule applies to the region, but I really suggest that all of you and your friends who have AAA memberships call and find out if they will cover changing a tire on a loaded boat trailer. I would hate to see one of you or your family members be stuck and be surprised.

I looked at my boat insurance policy today. Its with Progressive. Included in the policy is Road side assistance. I called to verify if they would change tire on a loaded boat trailer. They confirmed that the trailer can have a boat on it.
