    2019 discontinued models?

Looking around the Time website it seems the Z3, Z1, RZ2, and RZR are no longer available. Are those hulls only available in R-Series now? Kind of a shame if that's the case, I imagine a lot of people will be pushed to other brands.

Since they are the same running surfaces coming out of the same molds they will have the same performance. I am not on the sales side but I've heard that you can still basically build a Z by optioning an R to the hilt. Not sure if they are going to offer an upgraded upholstery option or not but I feel like some diamond checkering and a handful of panel changes aren't the end of the world to me. I like that the spotters seat and trash can seats aren't one piece like in the Z. I also like the non wraparound rear panels as an aluminum can wedge in nicely when turned around and tending rope or flag. So besides a flip up rear facing panel on the starboard seat theres bo losses. If you need diamond stitching and one piece seats with gas shocks thats why the RZX and ZX line is around now.
I would be willing to bet you can option an E2 tower(same as Z series and already been an option) and if they are smart they will offer a 7" or larger 10" Clear as options. As long as they let you option a smartwheel, get a 10" screen, and put the E2 tower in it is a Z series...minus a chromax that proclaims it a Z, and guy could stick those on if he wanted and fool everyone .
Tige knows more than anyone whats selling and what isnt, but since the R23 rolled out we have sold only a handful of Z3s. Sent lots of R23s out though, some barebones to keep price down and others rolling 4 towers sepakers, dual underwaters, 3 vent heater etc.

You can fully option an R to match what was the Z. You also decide against the checking that a lot of people are liking more as well as save money. You can go smaller screen but power tower, big screen but non power tower. So many options. Its for the better not worse.

Nice. So Jason IF I understand you correctly the only thing going away is some stitching, 1 piece flip up seats, 1 piece wraparound rears and that little panel change at the bow around the speakers ya?? Which IF a guy had to have it would push him into RZX/ZX territory?? Are they letting smartwheels into R series??Sounds like a smart move to differentiate the "budget" line and the "flagship" line.
I put quotes around budget only because I would hardly call a fully optioned R23 a budget boat. Yall are the sales guys but I imagine a guy would be well over 100k if he wanted to check all the boxes (E2 with 4 Rev10s, RGB, Underwaters, Heater and a 10").

Not even going away, you can order the Z styled premium upholstery if need be. The new layout just allows you to distinguish what you do and dont want according to budget.

The Rline will all have a one piece flip up observer seat.. Yes to smart wheel.

SWEET! So literally the only thing that separates a fully optioned R and Z is a Chromax badge. Better stock up and Z badges right now

Yeah thats really all that will separate a fully optioned R for 19 will be the badging. The Z name is gone, done, finished the boat isnt.

The Name and the ability to go mild to full Tilt and anything in between is all that is a change. And obviously them all being liner boats too.....

All of the R boats got a big bump...... Liner, observer seat, glove box. All standard now regardless of trim level.

Yeah, no reason to panic, nothing is retired guys aside from the name. The boats were duplicates, one premium trim the other budget conscious but the same hulls. Now its one name with unlimited build options from mild to wild and anything in between in regards to trim inside. The names though will only be R20/R21/R22/R23. Thats it.

So looking at the lineup, what is the difference between the ZX and RZ line (apart from lengths)? Is one deeper than the other? It's not immediately apparent

I can understand the reasoning for the change. The only question now is whether or not there is any "value" in loading up a boat, or if the previous model year standard features on a Z line were a better bargain

so any idea if i can go back and add the steering wheel controls to an '18 R23? that was the option i would have liked to add that was not available when we bought the R this past winter
