    Tower options for Canadians?

I have a 2000 2100v Ltd and want to put a tower on it. I have read a lot of the threads on the site and don’t really know what to go with. Clearly I want to put a Samson on it but the issue is that I’m in Ontario, Canada, and to get it shipped costs a fortune ($3200 for tower no racks and maybe $2,000 for shipping). That doesn’t seem like a smart plan for a $20k boat. I’m not a huge fan of the monster towers, and I don’t love the heim joints and mounting hardware. Any thoughts on Joystick?

Is there a way to have shipped to someone in the states (maybe another TO) and then pick it up?

is there actual samson dealers? I have been dealing with samson directly for a bimini and it has been a slow slow process!!!

I know my old dealer got a lot of Samson in before they closed so I just assumed so

          Here’s one

Yeah, I emailed with inland in Alberta, Canada. Shipping and customs is $1050 to his shop. I’m 2100 miles for there...so that was the option I was referring to I’m my original post.

As for going to Washington, or somewhere close in Canada, it’s really not an option. The tower is welded and packed in a large freight, palletized form. Would need a truck to move, and the round trip is 5400 miles.

It's unfortunate you are so far east. Who Dat Towers in Washington does some pretty neat custom towers as well as doing the installs on sight. Not really on option unless you are a BC guy though. Not sure what the cost would be to cost and ship. Might be worth contacting them.

I saw you were in Ontario (I had to look it up). I was thinking of a state closer to you, like Minnesota or Michigan.
I'm sure you've probably thought about all of that stuff. It sounds difficult to say the least.

Here’s a thread where someone put an Indy tower on their 2100v. I also had one at one time and I was quite happy with it. Not sure if they’re still in business but it’s another option for you. Plus they come in a few pieces so shipping will be reasonable.

Monster sells through a dealer network. Look and see if they have any in your area or CAD

Perhaps this is a dumb idea, but could you trailer your boat across the border to have a shop in the states install a new tower?

Went with the origin tower. Not as good a deal as you southern neighbors get online but thought it looked better than the monster towers. Bimini still needs to get mounted, but here are a few pics. Definitely looks square and not stock from the front and back, but I think the Bimini will help once installed.

Looks great man! I agree with you, I think it looks better than the monster towers. Did the front holes line up with the old metacraft holes?

The boat didn’t have a tower before, so all new holes. I read another thread saying the holes don’t line up on the back.
