I blew it. Theres a backstory. We had Corkys boat around and I thought we took it in and it was in storage(was looking forward to fixing it up this winter as it found the bottom) but insurance is who took the boat and I guess it's Copart fodder now. My bad.
On the plus side I stretched out and put my foot all the way up into my mouth today and am feeling pretty limber now. Sorry for not delivering the goods
I'm sorry man, I was worried if you did have it already because insurance hadn't paid off the loan or given me a check lol. Glad you got stretched out though
You’re 100% correct. There’s no reason you can’t mount just about anything to the back of an old Tige. I knew they were solid when I bought one. I didn’t realize how solid until I tried cutting stuff out of one.
Speaking of which, clt, if your looking to mount actuators on the stern and you need a little more room, you could always move the platform brackets inboard. Even if you just move the right hole on the bracket to the left hole on the starboard stern and opposite for the port, you could gain nearly 2”. Doesn’t sound like much but it’s actually a good bit of room. The worst part for you would be removing the gas tank in order to get to them. It’s not too bad but, it’s not exactly fun. The trick is getting the gasoline out first. I think there is room enough to not have to do any of that but, it’s an option in case you need to.
Huh. I guess I thought I was in a different thread. Sorry.
As for the FAE. I'm an idiot and didn't think about a DD verse V-drive. Guess there is a difference there, and it makes sense. Mine was only 16.5" center to center. So it's not gonna work.

So I'm no FAE expert but with it being the 3 piece and the rubber tubing with hose clamps it would be pretty easy to chop some material off of all three pieces and narrow it up to 16.5" from 20"
