Starting vs House Battery

Rookie question - Which battery is the "House" battery? Going to install a Pro Sport 12 battery charger/maintainer and install calls for specific wiring.

Anyone else using this or similar product to keep your batteries fresh if so where did you mount it? install calls for caution for heat build up etc.

Good chance one is a cranking and the other is a deep-cycle.

To confirm I'll disconnect the neg. terminal of the battery I believe to be the cranking and leave batt. switch on 1 and if nothing happens that's the cranking batt. I think.

Id disconnect the positive off the battery. The wrong ground could render the entire boat dead.
