I can’t see us having 3-4x more fun than we already do. We drop ‘em in, everybody rides and has fun. They both perform very respectable, both loaded and unloaded for slalom. They are clean, comfortable, and do everything we need and we’re never really worried about them either starting or getting dinged. They’re cheap to run, cheap to own, and cheap to fix in that rare event something fails. They’re easy to work on and easy to run. Don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate the new machines for all they’re tech and performance. I get it. I just don't desire it. I like the idea of the customization of and old boat. At least one for surfing. You could have 3 nice old boats for the price of one of the new WakeMarys. A 23v, a 22i, and a nice little flat bottom. Just an honest little 70mph boat.
Seriously though, I really want a flat. I drove the **** out of my buddy’s jet boat last week. It’s a blast. Something about 427 on a 12J in ‘72 CobraJet is aweful intoxicating. I want something just a little faster. Definitely a v-drive. Just fast enough to beat him every time.
Was there a correct answer to this quiz? Doesn’t matter. Slalom is coming back anyways.
