Same basic design as 2012 but we didn’t see many, surf system in 13 and hull refresh for the g23 only in 2016 just to cut down on spray and new screen and drivers chair in 17.

Id rather spend my money with some guys that spent their last 30 years doing R and D in the tow boat market
Is that a totally fair statement? Pavati and Tige (and other tow boat makers) have a long history of making boat hulls. Don't they all offer lifetime warranties on them? I think Pavati took their 30 years of hull making and now make a great looking tow boat. As for the rest of the boat, don't they have just as much experience as the rest of them? The Raport series has, what, 3-4 years of time on them? Tige Clear: 2 years. Are they proven? Seems to me if we want proven tech, we need to stick with something like a 21v. 350 engine, mechanical gauges, throw over ballast pumps. All of this is a moot point though. It was flat out crazy to spend what I did on my Tige. Stupid really. Pavati is off the charts crazy.

Fair points. Tige has been doing their home work on convex hulls for years now and I think even you would agree theres anecdotal evidence that they succeed in generating waves. That's the kind of R and D I was referring to. Otherwise ya, you are right tech changes all the time and theres shared tech between the two.

^^I guess I just dont see how making this for 30 years is equivalent to what everyone else has done. I will take a G and the saved $.

Funny at this point that no one has thrown Malibus name into the hat for the "If I could own any surf boat".

The dealer network lacking is a completely fair point. Where’s the Pavati dealer nearby?

I focused on that part. Tech while proven or not breaks on a fairly regular basis.

For 250k you better be serving me wine and cheese while my boat gets fixed instantly with the tech wearing white gloves and a tuxedo.

No dealer network? Thats a simple solution for $250k. For the next 30 years (they call these kinds of loans mortgages, right?) They helicopter in a technician - better not be a "parts changer" mechanic - to your house or lake and make any repairs while you wait. And if he comes at a bad time for you, he just sits there and waits for you to be free. And yes he will be in a tux.

And don't forget, if the trend continues, Tiges 2029 Flagship will cost $250k.

He should also be able to play guitar and sing. IMHO

If you wanted to buy something over priced, with a lack of dealers, and mobile techs you could just buy a Tesla model X

                        I know, I know just couldn't resist.

I took a pretty big group for a ride on my R20 on Sunday and one guy just bought a G23 because he said his son talked him into it. He asked me what I paid and about pooped his pants that he spent almost 100,000 more on his G23. I found out later he is loaded but he is also cheap. I am in no way comparing an R20 to a G23 either but I think his bother was about to purchase one also but now is sold on an R series.

The reason I asked is I am getting ready to buy a boat. Probably stupid as the kids are in sports and we live far away from a lake but...

I am having a hard time deciding what I want to get. I love my Z3 but I am tired of having no storage with sacs filling all the storage when surfing.

So I am hoping that Tige once the dust settles will come out with a ZX3 that surfs right out of the box and has a ton of storage.

The Supra SE and SL are very compelling. The wave behind a previous Z3 owner's 2018 SL was amazing. Just not a big fan of the dash and glove box.
The new Mastercraft X24 is something to consider, But wow it is expensive. Plus I am just not a huge MC guy.
Malibu I just don't like the interior or wave.
Centurion has a great wave but the interior is ugly.
G the wave is not worth the money.

                            Ugh. First world problems...

Have you checked out the RZX3? Obviously Different hull design than the Z3 and pickle fork bow, but tons of storage in it and surf wave is amazing right out of the box (I recommend getting the PnP 560lbs bags though)

Supra will have a new dash for 2019. I have the current dash on a 16 SE, and albeit not my initial favorite, it’s highly functional. The six buttons and central location are very smart.

But, in the world of touchscreens, buttons will be gone in 19 models.

My personal opinion is there is no better than the SL right now. That thing works so well. I lust for one 🤣.
