    Raw water pump

Will this pump be an effective replacement for my crank driven raw water intake pump? I have a 2005 Tige 22v with 5.7 mp 340 with Johnson crank mounted pump. My pump is leaking out of the rear seal and need to replace it. It said on the ad that it needs to attach to a steel pulpy not cast iron... I’m assuming mine is steel? Can anyone help me out since I don’t want to remove the old one until I get the new one and it’s hard to see back there.
    Thanks,
    Sam

That may work but I worry that it's a slightly different Johnson as it has a F6B-9 as the pump number. All the Johnson pumps that have been used by Indmar and Marine Power have been the Johnson 812B. I think that the one you are looking at may be the smaller impeller pump that Volvo used as a crank mounted pulley, but also having Indmar in the description is odd. I'm sure it would work either way if mounted to the crank pulley as it is just a pump.

Can that be confirmed I was under the impression this would use the same 812b impeller. The smaller one would be the f5b9. Thanks for the help.

If that pump uses the 812b then it's your guy. I'd have to be at work to confirm and that's not happening until tomorrow.

          looks like it’s the 812 b impeller.

On its way! Any advice on the installation process? Especially with it being a vdrive not a lot of space to work.

Lay on top of the engine, remove the bottom bolt of the "L" mounting bracket and just loosen the top bolt of the same bracket, it'll save you time when installing.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...
