Tried yesterday to run listed without shaper. My son yelled while surfing, “Dad, this isn’t good. Put the mission thing on.” To be fair, it’s usually a pretty empty boat during the week. Wave in video was me and my 9 y/o daughter. Think the lead will really help.

It amazes me how so many people like the Z3 avx wave differently. Some listed, some gated and some just swear by taps 3. I still believe a slammed avx is one of the best waves out there for 2015.

I have an rz2, but will try it slammed tomorrow. Think extra weight is key for AVX.

How much weight are you running? Once you got 5k in a Z3 you enter a whole new world.

^I agree. Even with the xl surf ballast a Z3 with TAPS 3 is nothing special. Add a couple k more weight and it’s a different wave altogether.

You take a taps3 Z to 4500-5K lbs and thats what you get....
