Oil looks perfect. I'll try and check impeller later
Can a bad impeller shut the boat down? Just curious...thanks for your help!! I really appreciate it!

The sounds was more of a rubbing.....grinding higher pitch.....hard to explain. But not so much of a clunking sound. Like a screech....or maybe miss firing....hmmmm

If you are already at LOTO, Barry the mechanic at the local Tige Dealer, Performance \https://www.performanceloz.com/ is top notch. Not sure the workload they have, but I'd call and explain your delima to Joe the owner or Jeff the shop manager and see if they can get you in on Monday!

Thanks! I bought the boat from Joe and sounds like him and Barry are going to look into it as well and then if my local guy can't get it going I'll leave a day early and sounds like they will get me in. Im just scared that the whole motor is seized up....I would just think with the starter problems I've been having that it has to be something to do with that and that something electrical obviously got fried which is from the smoking. If a solenoid went out or had a bad connection could that fry things up and make the boat shut off or do anything weird? But the engine temp never went over 195 from what I can remember and if it did it had to of got really hot really really fast but we weren't going past 3000 RPMs either....

Glad to hear you are able to get it in somewhere. Hopefully it's just a starter.

If anyone is interested it ended up being a blown alternator and starter. Pm with if anyone wants details if it happens to you!

Glad the smoke was electrical and not heat related. Also good to hear it is getting solved. Enjoy your Ozarks trip.

FYI....I treat my cover every Spring. 303 makes a fabric waterproofer and so does Starbrite. You will need a gallon.
Clean cover well and let dry. I then use a good spray bottle and do 2x2 sections in cross pattern (I soak pretty well)....then use a 6" foam roller to backroll the spray and get it evenly into cover. Let dry and cover will shed water like brand new. Still gets some in the tower legs, but WAY better.....and if you know you are going thru rainstorm, you can use painters tape around tower legs and get almost zero water in boat
Just thot I would mention. Glad the issue was not too bad, get that impeller changed if its been 2 years!
