Hi there!
Im the owner of a new 2018 r20. This thing has been nothing but a pain in the ***!!!!!!!! Ive had it on the water for only 8 hours, not one of those hours was I trouble free.
First day on the water.....amp wouldn't work.
Day 2. water temp wouldn't work
Day 3....Back to the dealer. On my way over to the dealer I filled the gas up on the boat.Boat said it had 30% left and yet only managed to fit in $20 worth on gas!!!!! Hmmmm. Guess the gas gauge is wrong too!
Day 3 was wasted with trying to update the software on the boat and trouble shoot. By the end of it, all was meant to work except for the water temp, replacement part needed.
Day 4. went surfing.....then the amps gave out again!
Back to the dealer. Replaced a CPU module
The next 2 weeks the boat was parked on the trailer as I was away for work.
Day 1 back from work.
Tige step pad was pealing and rolling off the trailer!!! FFS!!
Day 2.Drop the boat in the water......Now beyond no water temp, the depth won't work. (Oh,didi i mention that I also have no sound either)
Tied the boat to the dock and waited for 5 days of rain to pass. Made another appointment with dealer.
Day before dealer appointment.
Load the boat back up on the trailer. Go the attached the stern with the straps,Ratchet won't work..broken! Start driving down the road, two more of the step pads on the trailer are flapping around!!! Argh!!!!!!!!!
Back to the shop the next day.
They were meant to replace the transducer for the water temp/depth. Replace the amps and fix the trailer issues. I was told 3 hours.
3.5 hours later I return.Nothing is fixed. They can't find the fault! So I drive 2 hours back home.
The next day (yesterday) I get a call saying it was a broken wire within the harness that was causing the issues with the transducer. All is meant be fixed....
Who else has had similar issues?????? Is this a one off?
Thanks guys, really appreciate hearing your input. I sure that you can appreciate my frustration!!! Im afraid that I have a lemon. Tige was suppose to call me directly and "make things better" They never bothered. The boat has spent double the amount of hours in the shop then it has in the water since I've owner it.
So frustrated!!!
Is this one off and if this has happened to anyone, did time actually stand up and make it right? This is a brand new boat, I shouldn't have to spend time and money running back and forth to the shop.
