Zero off GPS and "actual" mph gauge

Hey guys - real quick question - I am in my 2nd summer of a Tigez1 2017 - went out for a surf yesterday and the "actual" mph gauge went absolutely crazy. So what happened - set the surf on, speed at 10.2 - and went - the actual MPH went up to 80 down to 5 and every where in between - the engine could not handle it and it never settled down, - speed up, slowed down weird, needless to say I shut everything down and drained the tanks - called the local dealer - who suggested that we turn the master battery switch off - I did - then went out with no ballast and it seemed to fix the problem - yet - last night went for a ride - surf off or zero off off and the "actual" mph gauge went everywhere. Did not affect the ride - just concerned - cause without zero off I can't surf!

checked the GPS settings - we had 9 satellites - At work today and tomorrow. so can't play with it
any ideas? anyone see this before?

    Thanks

What version of software is on the screen? Lets check there first before we dig into too far.

Sooooooooo.... turns out user error - I had finally set up a user profile for the ballast - then turned on the surf manually - engine gets very confused! we walked back the whole thing of set up and realized this could be the issue - turned off user profile and went to surf - engine and MPH were fine! so question - if i set up a user profile is that all I have to do to surf? and not turn surf on?

        thanks
