    Shifter not enough tension

Everything on my Livorsi electric shifter works it’s just real loose. It doesn’t have enough tension. When your crusing it wants to slowly increase the throttle. I went to Livorsi web stight and it said you could adjust the tension. Anyone know how or had this issue? 2016 R20

    SHIFTER Adjustment
On the shifter itself there are two spots for adjustment. One says D for detent. That is the one you need to adjust for smoother firmer operation to and from neutral. The shifter panel will need to be removed to access it.

Process is for 2013 Z1. Should be very similar for you. There is a set screw on the bottom of the shifter on the black plate itself. That will allow the cover plate to be removed. Cover plate must rotate counter clockwise first before it becomes unlatched where it can be pulled out.

the D should be visible. Just turn it in or out a turn and see how it feels.

One more question and this is probably a dumb one. What does the button on front of the shifter do? And there is what looks like a warning light right behind the shifter. What’s it for?

It should be to disengage shifting into gear but yet increasing the rpm of the motor. When you are in this mode the led is lit.
