RZ2 hard to steer!

Anyone have a issue with there RZ2 becoming very difficult to steer. I greased the rudder but that didn’t help. Had to replace one on my 20v years ago and it sucked so was hoping someone had a better idea!

Being an '07, I bet you its the cable.

Change the steering cable, my 08 RZ4 was difficult to steer for the first 30 minutes every trip and finally got to the point that my wife had trouble getting the boat off the trailer. I changed the cable last spring and was back to 1-finger steering.

Just had the same issue with rz2 2007. Replaced the cable and it steers likea New boat.

I need to replace mine over the winter on my 08 RZ2. Looks like you can buy them online for $135.

I'll just add that my 2015 RZ4 needed a new cable within the first year. After that I could turn the wheel with my pinky finger.

Are the wheels supposed to turn freely with the engine off or does the engine need to be running?

Looked at a RZ2 again today, one we will probably buy, and the steering out of water/engine off was damn near impossible.
