San Antonio here! Canyon and Medina lake are my go to spots! Lots of good lakes in Texas though!

I’ve been to canyon lake once and loved it. Hope to get up there and lake Travis this summer. They’ve got a wake comp at possum kingdom lake the end of July that I’d like to make it to as well.

I’m in Kingwood and we boat on the San Jac river and sometimes Lake Houston at Duessen Park.

I’ve thought about checking out San Jac. How is the water down there? Stumps or anything to look out for? It always looks nice and smooth when I’ve drove by on hwy 90

Ya we stay in a little 2 mile stretch west of the lake Houston pkwy bridge and east of the 59 bridge. You have to know the river (which changes with bad storms) but it is always smooth. Aren’t many stumps but after a good amount of rain you really need to watch out for floating debris.

My bad I was mistaken. It’s Wake the Desert I was thinking of and it is at nasworthy actually.

PK (possum kingdom) is my home lake. great lake. seen lots more tiges recently. No surf comps here that i know of.

for a few years they ran a surf and wakeboard comp at marine creek reservoir in west fort worth, all divisions. Not sure why they stopped. They didn't do a super job marketing it, so maybe that's why.

DFW Surf also runs a grass roots sort of surf comp in September-October time frame, usually on Lewisville (hidden cove).

anyone who lives in the dallas area should look up dfw surf (and join!). SUPs and wakesurfing. great club, great people.
