2018 RZR CRAZY Ballast Pump Problem. Fill and drain pumps run when I select drain.

So after a run today we hit empty all on the tige clear screen . about 10 minutes later the fronts are still emptying. I joked with my daughter that we were just pulling water from the lake. Sad thing is I was right. When I select empty on the front tanks both the fill and drain pumps activate so its pumping water in as fast as its pumping out and bags remain full.

Has anyone ever run into this? Front bags are stuck full.

In the mean time, with the boat on the lift or trailer, hit drain again. The bow will drain and no water will be filling.

Seems strange that a 2018 would not have a reversible pump instead of separate pumps for fill/drain, maybe there is a reason that I do not know about tho.
Has to be some kind of electric malfunction in the wiring for that to be happening....or needs a software update maybe

Thanks for the replies. Hopefully the dealer will come get it since it seems like a warranty issue (2.5hr drive). Yeah no reversible pumps on the RZR. Speaking op pumps, I just got the maxflo sumo pump and 650 bag for added weight. This thing is amazing! Fills 650lbs in under 4 min and super easy to use with no spills.

Your RZR should have a hard 4 switch panel under the observer seat. Trying to isolate if its at the screen or a direct wiring issue, hit the empty ballast hard switch while on the water and see if you still get the same result. If you dont its a direct wiring issue.

Great Tip. Hopefully I can try that tomorrow.

Update: I filled the ballast and then used the manual switch to drain. All 8 pumps came on 4 draining and 4 filling and all 4 bags stayed full as water poured out the boat. I closed all the valves on the fill pumps and although its was very slow it finally drained. I switched projects and went to work adjusting my lift for a bit, put the boat on the lift then decided to keep investigating the ballast issue. I filled only a small amount the first time, hit drain and everything seemed to work as it should so I filled em up. To my surprised everything is now working again. I have no idea why but happy for now.

Very strange. The manual switch should not have kicked any of the fill pumps on. From that switch, the only thing they share is ground. I could see an issue with the PDM's causing it to do both but from the touch screen and not from the switch. Have the batteries been removed lately or any other electrical issues? Makes me wonder if there is a ground issue somewhere and it back feeding through the fill pumps.
                  Oh Yeah!

Boat is new. I have not disconnected anything. Only thing I left out in previous post was that I noticed the powertower switch was left on and I turned it off in between tries. I turned it back on to see if I could replicate problem but ballast still drained. IDK
