Lake Lanier Tige owners day that was 6/30

Seems the original thread is now gone! Missed the whatever last post were made.

Trying to get this even back on the rails. All we need a local owner to take the wheel and finalize some last minute details.

AVC Marine was on board and there were a couple others that had sent or committed a give away. MLA was trying to participate.

So, wee need a lead on this

need a head count

need to know what we have to give away

Need to know about the location

I will still be attending, but being from Nashville I know nothing about the lake (ramps, good meeting spots ,etc.). I do know we are staying close to where the event was original scheduled to be. What I don't know is if the original location fell through or just the dealer just backed out. I would love someone local to step up and take it over also. Like I said before I wanted to attend to support Tige in our region. Thanks Mike for trying to get this back on track.

2 closest boat ramps would have been Bald Ridge Marina and Young Deer.

The original dealer sponsored event has been canceled. Im trying to get it back on the rails.

We need a head count and a coordinator to get this thing moving, and quick.

As an experienced Tige Reunion coordinator, let me put my in. There’s no reason this can’t be pulled off, and everyone can still have a great time. Sounds like you just need someone to volunteer to coordinate. With that said, I would recommend someone with thick skin, as there will always be your critics (some might even go on other websites and forums to criticize your approach). I hope someone steps up as these events are awesome!

I live 20 minutes from Lanier and never heard about it ! Please keep me in the loop as I would love to attend!!!! I dont have Facebook so please PM me with any details ,I cant do alot but I can buy food and drinks (well at least pitch in no doubt) any estimate as to how many boats were going to attend?

Looking at 4 possibles. I think the issue is reaching owners more so then lack of interest.

We need some serious help to reach owners.

Also need some info about that park/camp. Is that viable spot to do this? Can boats we docked or anchored close to shore? Is this public or private? can we grill? Do we need to bring a grill, etc?

What about those kids activities?

I know most of the owners on Lanier. I'll reach out to all of them. I also know of 4 owners on my home lake which is only 30 minutes from Lanier. I'm on it.

Guys, thanks for stepping in here. I have been thinking about this a lot. I will step in here and host this from the perspective of a passionate Tigé owner. I will be footing the bill for this and a few things will have to change but I’ll get it worked out. Sorry about all of the drama with this over the past week. It’s the right thing to do to keep this going. It’s about and for the owners.

I’ll get a new location updated by end of Friday.

Gumby, where is your Air BnB at the lake? Since you are not familiar I want to be considerate of this when tagging the new spot. It will be one of the lake parks for sure. Unfortunately the lake is really high now so most of our beaches are gone.

I’d recommend an anchor and a shore spike.

Anyone else from out of town staying please get me general area of where you are staying by tomorrow 6/14. If Possible...

Bob,

We can potentially use Young Deer. I did an owners get together there for Supra and Moomba a few years ago and it worked out great. There is a ramp and good water there. Also, a playground. I’ll go by there tomorrow and check the conditions. That is probably the best bet.
