My question for you is what angle? and what size did you cut the cutting board down to?
Cant wait to See what you come up with, I will be putting mine to its first test next weekend at the reunion!!! I feel my angle is a little low I may make it a bit steeper before we get our there.

Would you happen to know the approximate location this one was mounted? I'm building one for my Z3 and just curious where about you had it mounted.

Basically sane as any other gate. If you’re building one try adding a little bit of curves to the straight edge.

Don't think anyone's mentioned this yet so I'll throw it out there for all... I mount my SuckGate with the front suction cup lower on the hull than the rear. Why? Because once the boat is up and moving in the bow-high position it's in while surfing the SuckGate is then parallel with the water we're trying to divert. This prevents the SuckGate from directing the water downwards, and in turn redirecting the water in the most-desirable direction possible, out and around.

Try this one day, you'll enjoy the results.

This is what I was saying too. It helps generate a bit of lift on the off side. (or at least it isn't generating downforce)

Angling it like that also keeps the water from spraying into your boat.

well was able to test my new suck gate and the result was pretty good still have some fine tuning to do with it to see how much better it can get. But over all was pretty good, we usually put 1100lbs in one locker, today we put 500 each side and then compared with and with out the suck gate and my family and I were instantly sold the difference between the 2 was obvious!!

I don't think many will argue that the suck gates don't work. I'll say on my boat (22ve) that you still get a better wave listed running a gate than trying to run more of a flat setup. So far my current set up is back to no offside weight at all but I do add the gate and have great results.

I love mine. Makes a day on the water do more enjoyable. No time consuming ballast switches, just move the suckgate and ride.

Finished mine yesterday. I used a PVC trim board, so it will float.

Has anyone tried putting a suck gate in the back opposite corner on the bottom of the boat similar to like a taps 3 or GSA system?
