Ok I’m in need of a little engine help. I had my boat summerized and had the impeller change. On the first time out the check engine light came one and within a couple of minutes the engine light came on started flashing and beeping and the boat shut off. The mechanic came back out and said it was an issue with the new impeller which he replaced. He said I needed to “reset” the check engine light???

So mechanic came out and replaced the impeller...but he did not run boat and/or test it after replacement and reset the computer himself?
If same mechanic that did not install the new impeller right the first time and the caused overheat, you would think the lesson would have been learned.

If the boat did not overheat then there is absolutely nothing the impeller can have to do with the check engine light. Engine diagnostics have no way of knowing anything about the impeller. Only way it possibly was connected if you got a fault due to overheating.
You need to get somewhere where they have a reader to figure out what the exact fault is. If it was a high enough level fault to shut the engine down I would not run it again until I knew what it was.
