Changed my port actuator today. Had to disconnect the left battery and move it out, which I believe is the house, to fish the cable through. Red switch was in "off" position.
Bone head move: I accidentally bridged the positive and negative terminals with a wrench and had nice sparks and a charge with The thick black cable still connected (the one I was using the wrench to disconnect). Faak!
Got everything installed and reconnected the battery. Turned red switch on and the blue light came on beside Tige Touch II, even without me pushing the button in. Never noticed it did this before, but may be normal. My Tige Touch 2 screen is now black and doesn't come on, so I have no idea what is going on. Been searching online and can't find anything.
Is there some way to re-set it? Could I have blown a fuse? Did I kill the battery? Pls God tell me I didn’t fry the touch 2!
Note: the boat had not been started. It was on the rack at the marina and i didn’t test multiple positions on the battery switch; as A thunderstorm was rolling in. Heading back to boat tomorrow.
Any help is much appreciated. I'm dying to surf tomorrow and check out the new actuator.
Thanks
