    R21/Z1 Ballast bag issue

So I can't remember if I posted about this at the end of last season but is anyone else having issues with their ballast bags shifting back towards the transom and pushing their transom wall back? This has happened twice now it was all fixed under warranty at the end of the season but I don't want to have my dealer fix/replace carpet every year. From the factory is appears to have a little flimsy piece of starboard or whatever with two screws put behind the transom wall to try and support it but it ain't nearly beafy enough when that ballast bag shifts back while underway.... Anybody else have any fixes that won't create warranty issues...has Tige addressed this in the newer models yet? Mine was a 2017 R21 purchased late 2016 for reference...

Seems like it lol! That should have been an easy fix last season at the dealership. Needs a wider plate an more screws.
      Oh Yeah!

So is that pic after the "fix" as in it has happened again, after the fix?

Easy fix IMO, a strip of 1x1 composite board or some 1x1 alum angle anchored to the floor and wall, behind the wall

Yeah that is the pic from Monday, after the fix. Stock it does come with composite board on the back however it's like 3-4" tall...I wonder it being that tall gives too much leverage for the wall to push back and "bend" the composite back and strip the screws....I'm thinking 1x1 alum angle is a much better fix. I installed 1" u channel on the engine side wall panels last year for the same reason, they were bowing in BAD from the ballast....

I have had the same problem. Been thinking about using a piece of stainless angle behind it myself. Have you tried to re-attach the strap to the ballast bag? Mine broke the strap off in the same place.

I have the same issue with my aftermarket bags. I plan to address this spring pretty quick. That area was never designed for the mass of the PNP bags.

I’m not 100% sure about the bags in the photo but mine are stock. The bag in the picture looks just like mine.
