    my rz2 riding experiance

First off - big thanks to Matt w/Tigeowners for the early morning pull.

The wake @ 21mph - 70 back w/stock ballast + 700ish was sweet. very solid, good ramp, good lip and lots of pop.

It had the 360 motor and it had no problem out of the hole and very strong. riding behind it sounds like a nice flowmaster exhaust system. In the boat when you gas it out of the hole it winds up like a jet engine and then takes off.....kinda cool actually.

the seat - mesh was comfortable to me... used the bolster and it almost put me too high. had to duck down to check the mirror.

Interior had good lay out and plenty of room. the back storage had room for 350's, but was a tad bit hard to situate do to the battry box in the storage. kinda wonder why they werent put under the observer seat.

Ballast filled quick and was easy to monitor by lifting the engine hatch you can see how full. the front just lift a cushion to see. Although I did hit the switches inadvertantly w/leg while driving. they may be better to be moved up high to dash area.

Tower was solid (Z model) and didnt move or make a bunch of noise. had swing racks, but just pulled boards off from the inside so didnt use them.

Speed set was easy to use and held good speed both while driving and while being pulled. The digital dash was easy to read.

Overall I was very impressed by this boat and it does handle very well and has a differnt feel to the wake than any other tige I have riden behind.

    Great review!

I didn't know Matt was giving test rides, maybe he should come up here!

And as long as he's coming that far he could take a ride up here to Chilly Wisconsin!!!!
Its a balmy 43 degrees and I'm looking for some one to take a run with me.

I wouldn't say it was a test ride...I had to detail the boat when we were done! hahahahaha.....did do the wipedown tho.
        ---
besides he owes me a couple more from when he was "boatless in dallas"
        - Hope to go in the next week or so we didnt have time to dial in the surf wake yet.

No problem Michael (yllw20) glad you liked it. I do owe you some rides to make up for the "boatless in Dallas" situation.

The ballast switches were something that I had to get used to at first. Its kind of low and I did hit with my knee the first few times out on it.

The surf wake is something I haven't dialed in yet. I think we had about 1100-1200 pounds of weight in it with only one person in the boat and it was a long and clean wave once we got it situated. We were at about 11.6 mph with that TAPS between 3-5. If we set the TAPS at 5 or more the wake would get a weird lip and wash. I think I just need to experiment more with weight, speed and TAPS. Overall the wake is there, I just wasn't able to drop the rope and surf it. Again I think it was because I had to do more experimenting and I think my surf board is too small for my 215 pound butt.

Teqiuila and Bfrank I cant stand the cold! I will take a 110 degree dry Texas heat any day over snow and ice!

              Tower

So how did the Z tower really look on the boat.I`m not sure if the pics due it justice. The weird thing is the open space (lack of another tube) along the side of the windshield. It looks like it really opens that area up,the driver would have a better view.I`m still not sure if I like it.So are they worth the money?

From my dealers they told me the tower looks even better in person. With that being said I got the E tower not the Z tower. I was not willing to spend the $2K. They compaired it to a truck and buying up graded rims and a lift, but like I told them I don't own or know of a $60K truck. The E tower has some new styling on the center upright that is very nice. I will look for some pics of it.

tigeone, its one of my favorite features on the boat. I absolutely love it. It doesnt flex or move at all and I have pulled some big guys behind it.

                        Matt,

Have you needed to fold the tower down? If so do you know how tall the boat is with it down? I want to know if it'll fit in my garage.

                        Thanks

So can you get swivel racks with the E tower?I like the detailing on the uprights,I was leaning towards the Z tower because I didn`t like the E uprights, but now that I see the detailing on them they look better. The Z tower is just so open on the side it doesn`t look like it`s part of the boat.plust those uprights are very pointy in the center on the Z tower,I`d hate to bonk my noggen on them! That boat looks great!!More Pics!!!!
