    Help: Broken Bimini Tower Attachment

Anyone have any experience fixing a problem like this? The bimini attachment pulled loose from the tower on my 2016 R22. The threaded inserts came out with the bolts. I need to find new inserts and repaint the scratched up area so it doesn't rust. Anyone have a paint they recommend?

    2016...is it out of warranty?
That has dealership written all over it.

100% agree but I bought it used with 25 hours on it this year. Opted not to spend the $1000 to transfer the warranty for only 2 more years of coverage.

^^ Rivnut setter or get Heli-coil and change out hardware. The Rivnuts shouldn't come out if set properly but I find Heli Coils are bomb proof when installed correctly as well

With a thin tube tower, I like compression type nut rivets. Not a big deal unless you have to buy the gun to install the nuts.

I'd rather go back with rivet nuts instead of helicoils. Like chpthril said, I doubt the thin wall of the tubing would hold a helicoil very well. I've never had luck with them but I'm definitely not an expert. I may wet install the nuts with a polysulfide sealant to help with the hole elongation. Hopefully I can get the rivet to hold.
