I was looking at getting this and mounting it in the starboard hatch. I was wondering what the dimensions of the rear hatch are so that I can get the largest cooler that will fit.

I don't know why you would need somehting to hold it in place. If your transom is really moving enough to nearly tip a cooler back there, you are in deep trouble and the cooler is the last of your concerns.Be excellent to one another.

I would think those things would just get in the way. I drop a cooler in my rear hatches all the time and they are never tied down.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

60 Qt cooler fits fine.
I would imagine you could put up to 100 qt in there, but it would be tight getting it in and out. Ie scrapeing the back of your hands..ouch.
That is if your talking about a 22V.
I don't think you'd need that strap system though, I just put some of those Orange life vests around mine...no moving around."I want to know God's thoughts, the rest are just details"
