    Hatch Dimensions for Cooler

I was looking at getting this and mounting it in the starboard hatch. I was wondering what the dimensions of the rear hatch are so that I can get the largest cooler that will fit.

Don't know the dimensions, but I'll tell you that I've put some pretty large coolers on both sides full of good stuff and they don't budge

I don't know why you would need somehting to hold it in place. If your transom is really moving enough to nearly tip a cooler back there, you are in deep trouble and the cooler is the last of your concerns.

I'm with tall on this. I do have this setup on my fishing boat, but it's a center console and the cooler is actually a seat. The floor of that boat is all fiberglass, so it's definitely required.

I would think those things would just get in the way. I drop a cooler in my rear hatches all the time and they are never tied down.

            60 Qt cooler fits fine.

I would imagine you could put up to 100 qt in there, but it would be tight getting it in and out. Ie scrapeing the back of your hands..ouch.

That is if your talking about a 22V.

I don't think you'd need that strap system though, I just put some of those Orange life vests around mine...no moving around.

              22Ve

              rear storage dimensions: 25Wx20Lx22D
mine came with a 54q cooler that fits good

              Hope this helps.

I'm not really worried about it tipping over, I just like things to have their own places. When and if the cooler isn't in there I don't see the kit taking up a whole lot of room. My main concern was buying a cooler that fits in there.

I got a Tige bag ice chest that holds two 30 packs of bud light when I bought my 22ve.

                      30 packs or 30 cans?
