    bumpers, Anchors?

What size bumpers do you guys use? I am considering the BABz order but those things are huge and look like they will take up a lot of room... How easy are they to inflate/deflate?

    I found this anchor? https://www.westmarine.com/buy/west-...pCode=14063861

I've been using just a Hoppy Ball I got off of Amazon for 2 years now with no issues.

What boat do you have and what is the type of lake bottom you frequent?

For a smaller option that doesn’t scuff grab a coyote round slalom ski bouys and then have the BABz when you need something bigger.

I use a box anchor and they are awesome but the link you posted is substantially cheaper and the same kind of deal only half the holding power. I’d think it would work just fine. Guess it depends on how you’re using it though.

I have a set of BABZ and they are pretty sweet. They easily inflate and deflate so they don’t take up hardly any room when deflated.

I've had the box anchor hold my boat during a crazy storm. Added to that was the anchor was grabbing sideways on a steep embankment. I literally didn't sleep that night, I just watched the white light bobbing in the lake. I'll trust a box anchor any time now.

BABz in a Z3 is a must due to minimal storage IMO.

Box anchor is where it's at. I would recommend getting the anchor buddy as well. Keeps the anchor from jerking around with the waves. I've had the box anchor come loose. But never when using an anchor buddy. It is solid as a rock.

BABz have a very small footprint when folded down. They are roughly 9x5x3 inches when I ship them out. The group buy is a great opportunity to get them highly discounted. I don't know about you. But I have zero room for regular fenders on my RZ4.

How do the BABz inflate? How much for the group buy?

There is a plastic needle that pops out pretty easily with your fingers then you can inflate with a pump or with your lungs. They don’t take long to blow up manually then you just pop the needle back in.

This. Most common method is a small 12v pump you would use to blow up other pool type toys. But you can blow them up with your own lungs. No needles or anything. Below is a photo of the plug.

x14 on the box anchor...best there is IMO. My "small" will hold my 24ft boat plus my brothers pontoon. I had 3 other anchors before that and either hated them cause I had to reset, or had to have a chain hooked to anchor which is not kind to gelcoat. Depending on your boat size you may be able to get an "x-small" box anchor (do they make those?).
I have not used anchor buddy and been fine but its probably a good idea

I have BABZ too. Super quick to blow up with pump (guessing like 20 seconds) I have not tried it manually cause I always have a pump in boat. To deflate, I just pull the pick and toss them on floor and they self-deflate, they fold up pretty small. You cannot beat them for any tie up to another boat, they also work well for docks and I only use 2 of them cause they are big/round and hold the boat off dock a good ways (1 at back and 1 at middle), with my other oversized fenders I carried 3 and also had one at bow.

                              Agreed. Box anchor is best!
