    Full disclosure, not a Tige.

So we had this pretty cherry old Centurion in on consignment. Original owner, garage kept, in phenomenal shape boat. Of course the boat sold and not only have they asked to put a tower on it immediately, they have asked for quotes to have it wrapped.

I personally think it's a bit of an abomination to slap a tower on this boat, and I'm never a fan of wraps. Thought I'd see what others think about it.

Agree 100%. One of my all time favorite boats. One of the sexiest boats Fineline ever built. I love that gelcoat scheme. It’s from a time when hotboaters and waterskiers hung out on the same beach and actually admired each other’s boats. To see someone throw some cheap China tower on it and then some gawd aweful wrap would be nothing short of a travesty. It’s not a wake machine, it’s a waterski machine! Keep it classic.

If i had money to burn, I would love an old school classic skier. If I was looking for a budget friendly entry level water sports boat, id slap a tower on that boat in a heart beat.

How far out did that boat get marketed? Round here, there seems to be a growing market for unmolested classic skiers.

I love the classic skiers as well. Not sure how it would look with different towers?
My boat originally came without a tower. We added it for wakeboarding, but what I enjoyed the most about it was how much storage I gained for the boards and skis.
Made it easy to switch out riders and keep stuff out of the lockers and floor. It didn't affect the skiing at all so I guess it would come down to looks.

That boat does look good as is.

I'd agree on the nostalgia of the boat to keep it original. However, I can see a young person or first time boat owner getting it and wanting to do all of the above to bring it up to current times and therefore I would fine with that as well. I've seen a few older boats that people have either wrapped and had the interior redone more to the modern style and they look really good. Kind of what Roswell did with the older Nautique. I will say I'm not a fan of the real busy wraps or ones that are covered in skulls or very biker/mma like.

I guess I wouldn’t be too opposed to a tower on that boat but, the problem is that most towers would look terrible on that boat. Most of them are way too big. That boat is tiny. When you slap a big tower on a tiny boat, it looks out of proportion. Someone buying that boat and wanting to turn it into a wake boat generally doesn’t have the money for a wake boat and therefore won’t spend the money on a custom tower that actually looks good. As an example, my buddy put an Ariel Airborn on his Malibu Sportster and it looked ridiculous. It looked like it was going to fall over from being top heavy. Old Tiges like the 2150 are huge in comparison and therefore much easier to make look good with a tower.

^^ this. I appreciate customer wanting to get their wake on. Of course the cheapest tower is the go to, so a Jobe Addict is what it's probably going to get. The beam is so narrow I will end up lopping off a bunch of material on the uprights to make it work. It will work and it will be a tower.
Would much rather see a pylon extension and at least maintain some decency.

Mike, I'm not sure where it got listed besides our website. Will have to let our sales guy know there's a market for clean DDs out your way.

my buddy in boise has a moomba boomerang. he is a slalom skier at heart but likes to board. he stuck with the extended pylon and racks on it to avoid a tower. down the road he will not be sorry about that decision as these boats become increasingly more difficult to find.

Slap a tower on it. Problem is that a quality tower costs about half the price of the boat. Tower is almost always a plus. For every purist who wants to slalom, there are 100 who just want to surf and wakeboard....and that means a tower.

Anywho...get a quality tower instead of a piece of crap tower.
