    2010 22VE Touch/Medallion Update

Just purchased this a couple of months ago and this touch screen buttons are intermittently working. Mostly not working. I have read many post and comments. I have confirmed I have 12.8V on the screen display so that does not appear to be the issue. Can anyone that has an update for this year please send it to me. I would be very grateful.

    Thanks!

Having the same issue on my 2011 RZ4. Is there an update out there? My buttons work not even half of the time. Was hoping after pulling the boat out of storage from the winter it would miraculously be working again but it’s not. Please help!

I think this is fixed by the upgrade from waketouch.com and idboating user on here.

I messaged idboating and they only help with the speed set portion. So still looking for answers on this. I am contacting my dealer today so if I have any updates I will post.

If the touch screen buttons are not working, the screen needs to be replaced. The capacitive touch portion has failed. Be sure to be sitting down when you get the price on the screen from Medallion. You can order it directly from Medallion. It will be the least expensive route.
            Oh Yeah!

I was looking into it a while back an offered the parts if someone wanted them. No one ever offered and I threw them away. I still have the pictures and pin outs though.

is it a consumer replacable part or only option is through medallion? seems that getting ahold of some of the interior parts might make sense for someone that is handy with small scale soldering/repairing?

Only through medallion. They have a legacy program to keep them in stock. Not saying they are cheap but they are available.

Spoke with my dealer and he said new screen so unfortunately i already have a price from him which is 1750 plus shipping. I will look at medallion now. Assuming I can just google them. Thanks for the info... I think. ha

Im curious to hear what DJ_KC says after talking to Medallion. I feel like last time we priced one out it was around 1700 ish. Almost seems like his dealer didnt put a markup on, or maybe Im tripping.

This right here is what scares me about these screens in these boats... Is it even usable without the screen working?

As far as just switching stuff on and off, totally. Pretty much all the "loads" (lights, pumps, blower, bilge etc) take off from the long black fuse box behing the kick panel. Just install switches with new circuit protected power supply and just work your way down the the row on the output side of the box tying them to the switches.
Head units were seperate from screen so no issues with stereo. Dont think youd lose remote function either.

Havent really thought about the cruise/zeroff side of things but in the Medallion boats the screen is basically the display and theres a seperate box that is the "computer". Pretty sure as long as you could figure out how to signal it to turn on and off you could still use your softtouch pad as well.

The 2015 and up Murphy stuff I THINK would be a different story as the screen is also the brains behind the operation, if I have my head wrapped around things correctly. I could be full of BS.
