    2001 21v throttle cable/ perfect pass issue

There is a kink in the cable as you can see in the cable. When we go to hit the throttle it has to pull all of that slack out before it will go. This makes it where we can only get to about 2500rpm. I have looked at other old threads but could not find an answer. I have a couple questions:

Which cable is causing this issue?(throttle or perfect pass)

If someone else has this problem how did you fix it?

Side note: Does anyone have the part number of water impeller for this motor?(mercruiser)

    Thanks!IMG_0042.jpg

When you turn the key on, the servo motor should take the slack out. Your servo motor might be frozen.

you should be able to rotate the black knob on the perfect pass motor. Not that it really makes a difference, but perfect pass actually uses a stepper motor and they call it a servo motor.
if your perfect pass motor is frozen, you can usually remove it, disassemble it, clean all of the corrosion out of it, and reassemble and install and it should work. This works as long as the bearings are in good condition and the corrosion is just surface rust. My bet is that the motor is not turning and it is likely because of internal corrosion.

As for the impeller, it can vary based on housing and shaft type. you will need to check if it is a single slot (d shaped shaft) or a double slot ( flat spot on both sides of the shaft) only buy Mercruiser/ quick silver replacements...
