I am hoping that some of you out there can give me an idea of the cost to redo the vinyl for the entire boat. I have a Z1, so not as much as the big boys, but I am worried it will cost WAY too much. Honestly, I am only looking at labor costs at this point because I do not know what material I will use. I can only assume that I will not be able to match the materials of my 2013, so I am stuck looking at a total redo. Please let me know of any opinions, ideas or options. Summer is just around to corner in the north land, surf on!

3500 for labor sounds about right for a quality job with someone who is making the vinyl from scratch. 4500-5k all in would be my guess. Pick your shop carefully, a lot of hacks out there and you dont want crappy vinyl, or someone who does not know how to do it right. Its a lot of work to tear a boat apart and then put it all back together.
If you had the time, you could probably save quite a bit by removing every cushion and taking to them....they replace and then you re-install it all. The remove and re-install is half the time on the job and time consuming. Just a thought

I am looking at a custom shop for the work and of course a higher price for quality-which is what I want. I assumed I would take pieces out and deliver them for repair to save some cash. Most of the vinyl is still in good shape. Bad stuff does not match the new current materials available. Do you think any can be reused/restitched?

I had a local upholstery/auto restoration shop do the work. He had a few books of samples that we looked through until we found the exact match to the different vinyls Tige used. The only way I can tell it’s not original when it is back in the boat is that he used the wrong color stitching, white instead of black.
I’ve read on here Tige will well you new skins to a certain year back based on your HIN, I’m planning to go that route for my next pieces. I doubt it will be as easy as swiping my card at the upholstery shop, but I’ve got anpnumaticnstapler from doing motocross seats so we will see.
As far as replacing only certain sections, the upholstery shop did say that could be possible. Much of my silver vinyl has separated (2013) and he made it seem possible to just replace That chunk rather then the entire cushion cover if the other parts are still in good shape.
Apparently a lot of used car dealers have him replace just the side of the leather seat that gets wore out on used cars quite a bit. He said they rarely do the whole seat, just replace that one outside section.

Thanks for the input to all. Tige has offered to send me material only, not skins. Sooo I am stuck with the decision. The new material does not match the 2013, and they are only offering three colors. I have areas that have four different colors/materials. I am not interested in spending 7-10g to have this done, but I am not blaming Tige at this point either. My boat is out of warranty and they are willing to consider something. JohnieMo, can't wait to see your pick. Elevated concept, your suggestion to re-foam as well sounds like a good idea.

BTW if Tige is only offering materials, just go aftermarket. The shop I used told me he has access to all the materials above. So unless your boat had something really freaky I expect this is all do-able.
If it were me, I'd go with a simpler design as this design is more likely to fail eventually. I'd also do it all in one place and hopefully get a discount.
It sounds expensive but it is still a lot cheaper than a new boat.
