    impeller quality

What are your thoughts on the different brands of impellers out there. I see a few different names out there and they are less expensive. Is this one of the items that you don't take chances with? I have a 6.0 and I will not run anything other than motorcraft filters.
Do these other brands like Sierra and Quicksilver make the same quality as the Mercruiser Sea Water Pump Impeller?

Have only had one impeller that had an issue other than normal wear. Center splined section came un-molded from rubber so center would turn but blades wouldn't. It was on a PCM though and impeller came from them. Quicksilver is Mercury Marine parts so you can go wrong. We use their kits on all our Mercs. Sierra stuff is good as well. Did I see yalls boat at Extreme getting a cover a week or two ago or was it a different boat??

OK, thank you. I found them on Amazon a lot cheaper than any other site shipped. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=AFUD5L84NQ5P6

What do you guys charge for one?

That one wasn't ours. We just took our back engine covers off and have them re upholstered at Darrah's. Where is Extreme? Do they do cover repair?

So do you have the plastic impeller housing or metal?? I can check impeller price after that. If it's the plastic you may need the new housing as well, and that kit is about 100$ and includes everything you need. If you just want the impeller I think they are like 32-35 retail. Will grab one and check it a but later.
Extreme Covers is right next to Idaho Marine. Dave and his crew build the BEST covers. Not cheap though, but worth it if you ever need a new cover. We have cover repairs done with him so I'd call and see if he'd take care of yours.

Sierra and Quicksilver have been around supplying marine components for decades.

              Ours has the metal housing.
I will have to give them a call and see what he would charge to have ours fixed.

^^ours is $39.17. It is Quicksilver. The above price you posted is even less that my cost so cant blame you for wanting to save 20$. Cant speak to the quality or make of the Amazon one though.

Have you used impellers from Globe Marine. Without exaggeration I used one in a 2003 350 mpi tow sport. I removed and inspected it each year for 6 years. At 6 years I Decided to buy a spare and see how long it would last. Sold the boat in 2016 with it still in and the spare in the glove box. Our use was about 60-80 hours a summer.

Thanks for looking it up. I guess that is why I was confused as to what was the "manufacture" impeller. I guess I am a little nervous now though. Money over quality...
