E2 tower - check your welds

My boat was the one JLG was talking about,it cracked in the exact same spot. The manufacturer drove a new one in and worked with my dealer to replace it. I have a ‘17 RZX3

Sounds like you would know better than I. My experience is pretty much all burning up sticks. 6010 root 7018 cap mostly. Also spent a lot of time in a dark conex can magnafluxing various types of ski lift grips in a past life. Certainly doesn't qualify me to make definitive statements.
I think this is going to a be a "one in many" deal as so far this is the only defect I've "seen"(thanks for posting ski_antique) in the new towers so far.
Time will tell I guess. IMO it's a drastic improvement over the cast Alpha towers.

I went home and looked over the welds on my tower. They are a vastly superior to the broken welds posted here. My boat is a very early 2017. Not sure what, if anything, that means.

I sure hope these welds don't become an "issue" as I've already had enough issues w/my 17 Z3.
