OK...Since nobody has apparently been on the Altahama river, how about the Savannah river? It looks like one can cruise from Savannah to Augusta (~150 miles) based on a few You Tube videos. Just looking for any first hand info on the area. I will be located in the Richmond Hill area by Savannah so will likely need to trailer a few miles up-river to ensure I am out of the salt.
