2006 21i Cover Help

It's time for a new cover. I'm thinking of ordering a Westland Sunbrella. Since I don't want to cover the swim platform, they offer the following options:

21i Type R w/ factory tower doesn't cover ext platform (2007 - 2009) - This option doesn't include my year (2006) but I can't image why the 2006 and 2007 would be different.
21i Type R w/ Phat tower doesn't cover swim platform (2002 - 2003) - These years are further off my year.
21i Type R w/ wake design tower doesn't cover platform (2003 - 2009) - This option includes my year, however, my build sheet says 'Tige Tower' so I think I have the factory tower.

Can anyone confirm from the attached picture that I have the factory tower?
Has anyone ordered option 1 for a 2006 boat.
Any other suggestions?

My other alternative is to go with a Carver cover but they use Sundura, they don't include sewn in vents, and they use slots to accommodate the tower. I'm unsure about the breathability of Sundura especially with no vents.
Does anyone have experience with the ability for the Carver tower slots to keep water out?

My guess is that your 2006 is not included with the 2007-2009 because of a different Tower.

Yours looks like an E series tower and I believe thats what a 07-09 should have???

The covers for the phat and wake design tower will not fit your Tige "E" series. Huge difference between the 06 and 07.............as I dont think they made an 07 21i. Heck, between 07 and 09, tige actually offered 3 factory towers. The E (pictured) the Z and the alpha-Z. Non of them would fit with the same tower.

I have a 2007 21i, sort of same tower, but I also have the swing in board racks. The top hoop bar looks the same, and the posts from the front of the boat also look the same, but the bar that is parallel with the windscreen mine is more parallel where yours is bent.
Why cant you get a custom cover??

Thanks for confirming I have the Tige E series tower. I believe Westland calls this the 'factory' since I definitely don't have the PHAT or Wake Design towers. Westland offers:

I'm still confused about the years. There offerings imply the bow and tower relationship is the same for 2006 - 2009 and yet if the swim platform isn't covered the year range excludes 2006. Any ideas?

Went from teak to a fiberglass platform I believe during that time. I could be wrong. We sold very few 21is the last two years we built them. That is an E series tower for sure. The 2007 cover with E series option should fit perfect.

Could you send a picture showing where the tower attaches to the boat? A custom cover where I live runs $1,200 and the Westland Sunbrella cover is $6-700. The last local custom cover also didn't have great stich work.

In 2006 you could select a teak or fiberglass swim platform. Thanks for the confirmation that the 2006 and 2007 21i with E series tower are dimensionally the same.

You have the upgraded rear post. The one pictured is a more basic rear post. I think there was one that was just a bar as well.

What a shame. Those late 21is were gorgeous. Just straight ahead classic layout with modern appointments. One of my all time favorite D-drives.

2005 and below teak only. For 2006 you could choose either platform. 2007+ was glass only.

I loved the 21i's. V hull, direct drive and very clean styling.

Yes, the "E" was a factory tower. But what I was saying is, that between those years, there were a total of three (3) tige factory towers available. So saying it fits "factory tower" is a 1 in 3 shot as being for the "E". in 07, Tige offered the "Z" series and then in 09, the Alpha-Z was introduced. No single cover is going to fit a boat with all 3 towers, and all 3 are tige factory towers.

Now I get it. I called Westland and they provided Bow to 1st post and 1st to 2nd post dimensions. I'm headed to the lake today to measure the boat. Thanks for helping me understand the various factory configurations across those years.
