Mission Reed Type Mat at Costco

Just thought I’d give everyone a heads up. Saw these at Costco yesterday. From just giving them a once over and being a Mission Reef Mat owner, they look pretty solid and similar. Price is very good. Could be worth a shot for anyone looking.

Would you choose the inflatable one over the foam type they have as well?

No doubt about it. The blow up ones like this take a little longer to set up. But they are far superior in every way.

I had a feeling that would be the case. Thanks for the info. We had a giant water trampoline for a few summers and it just got to be a pain to fill up and take out and drain/let the air out and get into the trailer, then get home and open it back up to dry. Everyone wants one but no one wants to take care of it lol

I’m on mobile so I can’t link it. But search for the thread where I review the mission reef pad. There is a pump in there that is a must have for it. It’s expensive. But there is no way I’d have one without the other. Just hook it up and grab a beer while it inflates to your selected psi.

Edit: the only thing that sucks about the mission type pad is it’s pretty heavy when it’s deflated in the bag. But it will fit in a compartment unlike the other type.

Mission Reed Type Mat at Costco

Just thought I’d update this. Ended up picking one of these up to compare to the mission one on the actual water. First impression at the house is pretty good.

The “large” mission one is 13x6.5 and 4 inches thick. This one is 15x5 and 6 inches thick. So this one is longer, skinnier, and thicker.

This one has 6 D rings on one side and 2 on the other. The mission has 1 d ring and handles on each end. I’ve found the handles aren’t good for much to be honest. Maybe if you were carrying this around a yard or something inflated.

The hand pumps look almost identical.

The mission bag is better made. But it is already ripping in several areas and I hardly ever use it. It’s just easier to fold up the mat without the bag.

Probably the biggest difference between the two is this one is over half the price of the mission at $300. You could get 2 of these!

I’m going to get them both on the water soon and see how they perform.

I heard there is $100 rebate going on at Costco on this thing. Making it $299.
For those that already purchased this, you can probably get that $100 refunded.

As of a week ago it was still on. Got mine for $299. I haven’t had a chance to test it. But hoping to today. Blowing it up in the yard, it looks pretty promising. This one being thinner is the only thing I could see not liking.
