I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3 and I towed my 21V from Boston to Phoenix no problem what so ever. Probably averaged 70-75 mph's. I am trading it in this month however for the 07, 2500 Silverado. You can never have to much power.

I tow with a 2005 Dodge Durango, with the 5.7L Hemi. Its rated for a max towing capacity of 8,850 lbs. Im not sure what the tongue weight is. Gas mileage, it gets about the same towing the boat as it does just driving, about 12-15 MPG. Most of the time I forget I am even towing the boat.

I tow with 2005 Yukon Denali with the 6.0 engine. It can haul all of my family and my boat at a speed of 80 - 85 mph with no problems. It gets about 12 mpg towing. It has the Nav system and the Rear Seat Entertainment. Towing capacity is 8100 lbs.

I have an '03 Expedition with the 4.6L engine, and it tows my 20i just fine. The owners manual says the total max weight of vehicle, passengers, load and towed vehicle is over 11K pounds. Although I haven't taken the whole kit and caboodle to a scale, I figure around 4-5K for the Expedition, and the boat is around 3500...trailer weight leaves a comfortable margin. It moves pretty well up hills, and mileage is around 10 to 13 mpg overall.

I would like a diesel engine though...maybe the next vehicle. The diesels we use in our Ford ambulances pull like crazy!
