Cool car. Really costs 75K for the one you would want it looks like. Biggest thing, just too small—otherwise has a sweet look for sure!

It's crazy how much 1 ton diesels retain value as well. 3/4s do too but not like one tons. Especially manuals.

12 yo truck over 200k. Still a perfect truck

I would never pay $20K for that. Sure it might last to 400k+ miles but old is always risky and that looks like a risky proposition. $15k and I might be interested if it had a full size cab.

I was mostly pointing out that they hold value. Those trucks sold from 32-35k(tradesman) new at the time. Low 40s fully optioned. That's what they are going for used now in our area.

I'm no Armada expert bit here's what a quick Google search said they were new in 07. Here's a used one in our area ( first one I found on Craigslist)

I think Sequioas, Tundras and 4 runners aren't really depreciating as badly in that segment. Sequioa and Tundra are really the only boat pullers tho.

I'd steer clear of the Nissan / Infiniti based upon their out dated technology alone. Take a look at a recent comparo completed by Motor Trend.

Thanks for the feedback. It tough trying figure out new vehicle, when there are so many check box's, trying to get in a price point.
I like the Escalade, Denali, the reviews on the newer ones are discouraging.
That's what lead me to look at Infiniti or Nissan.

Thanks again for the feedback back.

Tundra tows no problem at all. I know it doesn’t have all the electronic accoutrements of other mfgs, but it’s a beast and the reliability factor alone made it worth it for me. The resale values on the Tundra aren’t too shabby either.

                  Good luck with your search...

Know what you mean. My 05 Double Cab Limited with 105k on the odometer traded for 15.5k on my now 16 Crewmax Platinum. I was blown away it went for that much, even on a trade. Got a good deal on the Platinum too. Expect it to last 10 years easily.

Looked at a 16 F-150 Platinum and they offered 9k for my 05 Tundra and 1k under MSRP for the new F-150. I was surprised it was such a difference between the different brands. Both brand dealers were the top dealers in my area. I liked the F-150 goodies, but couldn’t pull the trigger to leave the brand that lasted as long as it did without any major issues.

Run from Discos. The suspension is too soft for heavy towing and the reliability really is worse than you read. I've had a Range Rover for a few years and in 20,000 miles its needed more work than even a seasoned mechanic would consider acceptable. I've got a Navigator and am really happy with it. 9K towing cap and I believe it. Brakes have never felt even challenged with my 5000lb boat. No issues other than a transmission fluid/filter change and an AC compressor in 135,000 miles.

We towed our 210 with a 2010 Armada for about 70,000 miles and loved it. Had a Z71 Tahoe before that and hated it. Traded the Armada in with 175,000 trouble free mile for a Pro 4x Titan 1/2 ton.

We bought a 2018 Armada in January. We also have a 2007 that my wife loves and refuses to give up. The 07 has the load leveling airbags and has been a great tow vehicle. I am yet to tow with the new 18 but should in the next few weeks. I know it will not lack for power and very curious how it tows compared to our older one.

Ain’t that the truth. I would never even consider a glorified station wagon for towing. With the way my 2500HD Duramax tows, I’m not sure I would even consider anything else. I let a buddy borrow it and my camper once and he let me use his Sequoia and over that week I developed a deep down disgust for those things. I thought about towing my boat with it until I drove it. Not only no but, HELL NO!. While it might run for an eternity, it would be an eternity in hell for me. I hated every single thing about it. He’s now looking for an older diesel and a sports car to replace it.

If you end up in the market for an old Duramax, ‘06-‘07 were the prime years. This is coming from my mechanic. All he does is trucks, mostly diesel, and he sees way more of every other truck than he does the Duramax. They cost twice as much to fix but they are way more reliable so long as you take care of them. I just replaced the injectors in my ‘04 w/200k on it. $4k job but the new Bosch injectors are supposedly far superior to the GMs. I will say that it runs better than new now. Straight and level, it’s getting 20mpg @ 80mph. I also can’t remember the last time I put brakes on it. It’s been years. I’ve still got 40% pad left. My only issue with it is that it eats tires. If I’m super vigilant, I can get 2years out of a set but in reality a year and and half is max. If I ran a pure highway tire I’m sure they’d last longer but I snowboard every weekend in the winter and camp in sand in the summer. I need a traction rated tire.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I’m a dodge man. I was using my 07 1500 hemi but recently bought an 06 5.9 2500. Love it. Buddy of mine has a 14 duramax on stilts and it’s definitely badass too. My old man has a 11 Expedition and it pulled my old boat like it wasn’t even there.
