    That’s exciting! How much ballast does it tote? A slammed Ri257 is other worldly.

    The side profile pic -mildly- disappointed me. Gotta be honest. Has a loosely 247 LSV profile. Has to be a bad pic.

    EDIT: the in water side pic wherever I saw that...

    Ultimately, it’s price point is forum fodder for me though. Until it’s 2020 and maybe I could sniff a used one.

      The guys from seca marine had some pictures on their Instagram stories and the wave was legit. Maybe not slammed 257 but it was insane.

            Man I'm not sure of the total ballast - Lee sure may know...

            I rode what I would consider a slammed 257 at the Arizona Plunge (not sure of the total ballast on it either, but had ~10 people in it) - We had about 8 in the ZX5 as well. Again no BS - wave is legit for sure. Very comparable...

                Unless the 257 had 7k in it, it wasn’t even near its potential. Having seen the 5, seeing the wave I’m excited for it’s potential. As much of a tige homer as I am we need to pump the breaks when comparing it to that machine. The 257 doesn’t do anything else worth a damn which is why i wouldn’t own one but it surfs, and it does it better then anything i have seen when it’s loaded with the the weight it can handle.

                  Nah, no need to pump the breaks. This thing is that good - in my opinion... Shoot, if I ride either again anytime soon and my opinion changes, I'll repost...I'm not too proud.

                  The 257 had 5550 plus 10 people, so yes - I would say it was close to your mark of 7k. I'll ask Treavor this weekend just to be sure on the total weight though...

                      I would say this: if it’s not really really really really good, then somebody needs to move onto another career. If you start with a blank sheet of paper are trying to build a top level surfboat, it better be absolutely kick ***.
