Update on the R23 stock wave. Tried these updated settings for the first session this past weekend @ PK: 100% rears, nothing in the bow, surf on 4, taps 2 on 7, 10.8 - 11.4, plugs in the ballast drains. 2 adults and a 40# seven yo. This definitely improved the wave vs last time out. good push, plenty of length, about thigh high. One thing I notice with taps 2 setting so high is that the lip of the wave isn't super clean. not bad, just not a "unicorn" lip + curl. riding exclusively goofy.
Now, for a later session (just me and driver) we decided to try setting up our fly high 400s in the rear seats and go 40-60 in the bow in favor of surf side, taps 2 on 4, surf on 4, 11.4-11.8. Wow. What a difference. One of the best waves I've ridden. Outstanding push even way back, more height, and the lip of the wave really cleaned up, too.
Can't wait to see what adding more targeted lead in back lockers will do vs the extra water. Stoked!
thanks for all the input from you guys out there in tige land! Looking forward to an awesome season!
