    New/used Tige purchase Questions

I sold my '04 24v last summer and am now in the market for a new boat. I was thinking about the ASR. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with these? I know they were only built for a few yrs. We 75% surf, 15% WB and 10% tube/chill on the boat. Thanks in advance for your help!

Only way I would ever buy a ASR is if a dealer has done a hull mod to it. And I’ll tell you this there’s literally only one of them forsale right now.

For resale and wakesurfing, you’d be much better off with a 15 plus Z3. There’s a couple for sale in the Vancouver/Seattle area..

Can you please explain what the hull mod is? Sorry I’m new to Tigé.

Is the hull that bad? Or does it just need some serious weight to make it good?

Tige ASR a great wakeboarding boat that can be super finicky when surfing. 2 years later they realesed the rzx a surfing machine and the hull mod basically puts the two together..

It’s not necessary bad but for the price you could get a loaded newer Z3.

An ASR with the bottom tweak will be a significant jump though in terms of size, storage, function and wave from the Z line. SIGNIFICANT.

^^^Great points and I would certainly agree on size, storage, and function all day. Haven't seen a modded ASR wave. For a guy that says he spends 75% of lake time surfing I would vote Z3 or R23. I guess the real kicker here is also cost of the ASR in question. If it's creeping on new loaded R23 status and surfing was the number 1, seems like it's an easy choice. Go with the boat that has tons of anecdotal proof it surfs. Not many ASRs out there, especially compared to z3, and of those out there I haven't seen consistent, easy to set up waves like a z3/r23.

I’m guessing your on American Lake. Storage is not really an issue then..especially if you have a slip. I’d go Z3 if that’s the case.
