Not sure when the longevity part kicks in my my work SUV has about 280K and never seen a drop of syn. Its towed on a regular basis since day one. 20 years in the auto repair biz before moving to boats, i have not seen enough to justify the cost difference. I put far more stock in regular maintenance. With that said, I do run Castrol syn in my new Dub.
thats some high mileage!!!!! I do believe in the reg maintenance. I have heard for ever that syn is the best and should be used but I have never tried it, from what you say with your vehicles it sounds like a waste of time!!!!!
