    Boat Lift Bunk Dimensions

I’m purchasing a lake front property and it comes with a little boat house/boat lift.
I want to replace the large strap system with a more sturdy bunk system. Does anybody have dimensions they’re using for their boat lift? I’d like to duplicate the bunks from my boat trailer however, I imagine I can get away with a simple setup using a couple long 2x10s.

I can't give you dimensions, but here is what I did for my '09 22Ve.

The trailer has 3 pairs of bunks, widest at the back, about a foot inside them half way up, and a V at the front for the bow. My boathouse has a dolly that rolls into the water on a mini train tracks setup. Because the dolly only has a few cross members I decided to only use 2 sets of bunks. The rears are a bit longer than what is on the trailer, and the fronts about match the trailers spacing. They all were on adjustable rods (1.5" or so) with nuts, so I floated the boat on and adjusted it so all bunks hit about the same time. It's been about 5 years, and all is well.

I'd so some measuring, but boat house is on lake 4hrs from here, and snowed in... probably still ice fishing on the lake.
